Meet Deborah Griffin, DMD
Dr. Deborah Griffin is dedicated to creating healthy, confident smiles through personalized, modern orthodontic care. A Connecticut native, her interest in orthodontics began at age 16 after her own experience with braces inspired her to pursue this field.
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology – Connecticut College
- Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) – Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
- Graduated first in her class
- Lifetime member of the OKU Dental Honor Society
- Completed orthodontic residency at Tufts University
Professional Experience
After completing her orthodontic training, Dr. Griffin practiced alongside Dr. Gange for eight years, where she gained valuable experience and refined her approach to patient care. In 2016, she opened her own practice in Vernon, where she continues to focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered orthodontic treatment.
She has also held leadership roles in the Tolland County Dental Society, serving as president, vice president, and secretary, and remains actively involved in continuing education through the Central Connecticut Orthodontic Study Group.

Outside the Office
Dr. Griffin lives in Ellington with her husband, Christopher, and their two sons, Drew and CJ. Outside of the office, she enjoys staying active, skiing, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. She also shares her home with two dogs, Brady and Latte, and enjoys the lighter side of life, including a good Disney conversation.
